Freddie Mercury, a Zoroastrian, did a great service to Zarathustra who wrote the Gathas. His work is powerful. This music video reminds me of dualism imagery in Zoroastrianism, and also the Dakhma or Tower of Silence and how bodies are disposed of by vultures by Zoroastrians, just like Tibetan people do sky burials using Griffin vultures. This is because people appear dead, especially as Freddie is carried. They are laid down on the floor just like how men, women and children are arranged in the outermost, inner and innermost areas of the Dakhma circle. Bodies appear piled up in certain scenes just like how skeletons pile up in the Dhakma pit. I think Freddie Mercury wanted to break free or help his people survive.
