Halo 3 Nostalgia Hit: Starry Night, Mjolnir Shields, and Missing Pauline
ஏப்ரல் 4, 2025
Late-night Halo searches and nostalgia mixed with missing Pauline, ending in a joking “zombie team” pitch and old gaming confidence Halo 3's Starry Night trailer pulls me back to first principles: design, courage, and why Mjolnir still feels iconic while Pauline stays on my mind
PS4 Headset, Zombies in Spaceland and Halo Training
I had a cool PS4 headset, with 360 degree of surround sound in university, and my big 55" 4k display
So I was up all night, not to get lucky, just to play video games
And I could hear them, when they'd try sneak up on me
I played with Jonathan Page, that Zombies in Spaceland
He was very good at it
My flatmates would verbally comment I'd scream like a lot
But really, it was just zombies
: )
I am now, very well trained
And, if
You pick me, for your Zombie Survival Team:
I won't scream
Because of that training
And also
I played too much Halo growing up
I'm not afraid of no covenants, elites, brutes, grunts, jackals, hunters, and sure as heck no prophets
Regret, Truth, Mercy
Hehehheehe
***
I have outgrown video games though
I don't play them

Even if I'm 31:
I have enough propaganda on here to win for decades
Halo 3’s “Starry Night” Ad and Childhood Adventure
1. This is the most powerful ad, in my life
Because I saw myself as that kid looking up at the night sky
2. Would be, the Munchee Lemon Puff ad, with the Navy boss in SL
3. Anheuser Busch beer commercial, of how they started out
I love this Halo 3 ad
It's just so beautiful
Bill Gates, the Bungie Team, they gave me a childhood, where I could save the whole universe with my friends, and Cortana, my AI
I love that, that's the best part of my life, that sense of adventure
