Goodfellas, Gore Fatigue, and Why I Still Write Violently
ஏப்ரல் 6, 2022
A long movie night of Zombieland, Goodfellas, 50 Cent, and screenplay worship turns into a confession that I do not even like gore that much anymore, even though disturbing, theatrical violence is still central to my writing style.
Writing Gore While Feeling Sickened by Violent Movies
10:15 p.m.
(b)
I don't like violent movies all that much now, i feel icky when i see blood.
I think that, i often write for entertainment, which is often disturbing, gore based or theatrical, because that's my style of writing
But i don't really like it that much.
i feel my stomach turn

The single best camera shot in history
They try copy it in 1917, they win Oscar for cinematography, but this is the best
It's so hard to get it done right, but it was, it just was

Hehehe
She's gonna get me a lifetime supply of champagne, and then, I'll get the monopoly, and then ev'rybody going to have to buy champagne from me

Sweeney Todd -- "Pretty Women":
Bateman: Do you know what Ed Gein (Kemper*) said about women?
Van Patten: Ed Gein? Maitre d' at Canal Bar?
Bateman: No, serial killer, Wisconsin in the fifties.
McDermott: So what did Ed say?
Bateman: When I see a pretty girl telling the news on tv, I think two things. One part wants me to take her out, talk to her, be real nice and sweet and treat her right.
McDermott: And what did the other part think?
