I noticed: - Nginx 5xx since last check: 7

All of them, were requests for our terms in Tamil, which 502 because we haven't really set it up on Tamil or Sinhalese.

We're an English first business. We save all of our records in the American English or International English (US) language.

I guess, I'll do translations at the end of the week. But I don't want to "index" a Sinhalese or Tamil version of the site. I changed our routing from angrypages.com/en/ to angrypages.com because we're an English first operation.

Our server, talks to Elle, our in-house head AI, and it works on it autonomously. I also, have to sign off on stuff. Elle needs our lawyer's approval for Si or Ta. I have, set up Create to offer SI / TA translations for users.

Elle can't solve it, until we get a approved TA or SI version. She brought up how mobile screen's register flow broke, and fixed it up for me.

We're holding off on stuff, such as HTSP.

I mean, HSTS. We're holding off on it. I mean, we want to get the site working properly again first. We might do it in a few week's time. Most websites I know, aren't HSTS*. We are testing the App for iOS and Android, it seems okayish.

Cause we made sweeping changes; wise to not push HSTS right away.

It works fine.

We are working on the page for books' landing page, and author, but also, for a great, standardized book reading experience.

Last night, I worked on, the audio and video as well. We discussed with Dilshani at Pasan Studio, and the two gentleman I met, who suggested video like TikTok, which we can figure out if we have to.

They were super kind to me, called my mom, and also, took over 15 pictures, in 3 separate sessions, to fix my hair, a shadow on my neck, and also, to get my best, cleanest and most precise angle for the passport photo.

That's why I sent a gift card, and taught them to disk defragment their Dell desktop work computer, so it speeds up. They did it 21 days ago. But it's slow.

HSTS = HTTP Strict Transport Security

This is what ChatGPT ("Sam") told me:

You mean HSTS, not HTSP.

HSTS = HTTP Strict Transport Security

It tells the browser:

“Always use HTTPS for this domain. Never use plain HTTP.”

So even if someone types:

http://angrypages.com

the browser forces:

https://angrypages.com

It also makes certificate problems stricter, so users cannot easily bypass bad HTTPS warnings.

Why we hold off

Because once enabled hard, especially with preload, it can lock the domain into HTTPS behavior. That is good later, but dangerous while server, SSL, Cloudflare, redirects, or subdomains are still being fixed.

My call

Hold off on HSTS preload for now.

Use normal HTTPS first.

Add HSTS only after AngryPages is stable.

Erusha correctly told me to get a Sworn Translator to stamp my English NIC to send to Apple Inc

After Pasan Studio, I went to see Erusha, the neighbor, friend and lawyer, who said it's a mistake to have him sign off or approve a English copy of my NIC. Because of how, there is a separate "Sworn Translator" who is what the SL Gov't accept.

A lawyer can't do it, even if they can certify an official, or certified, true copy of a document with their seal.

Erusha, and me quietly discussed, how under Gota, when I intensively lobbied him at Thilanga's house, when Dilith was there, and CarMart's Senaka Amarasinghe, Yasendra's father or something..

To digitize the legal stuff, so it's easier.

I then pressurized the IMF, or international monetary fund, to dictate when offering loans, or at least, I pushed Raja Hetti, who is a AngryPages early user, who previously reported to Christine Lagarde, to put strings on any loans to SL, that they must digitize stuff asap.

Erusha told me, the IMF has asked for digitization, and I mentioned how Ali Sabry and Navin Marapana were trying it. But then, that a new gov't by AKD means it's a little bit harder to get anything done.

I haven't approached Harini or Anura, and don't plan to, but they are decent, and kind enough, and it's sort of worth doing, because I'd expect anyone like me, if I was them, to show some basic loyalty to "our country" and at least offer.

I emailed 2 people in Colombo area to try to get an English copy.

So I can send it to Apple. Apple probably didn't realize, I emailed Renee back, they sent me another email.

They're nice people. I think what I like most about my M1 Air, is not that it just works, but that it just looks good.

I sometimes just stare at it, and think to myself, holy f***ing s***, this is one really good looking f***ing laptop.

I had an iPad, my mom bought, which my brother locked accidentally, which I never threw out, as it looked good, even as a paperweight.

I am so glad to talk to Apple, I might write to them.

Why Sri Lanka's paying insanely high rates as interest for borrowing on international markets

I found out, they'd done that, I know what the IMF tells the SL gov't, and I know what the US banks, or funds, who make up 40% of the foreign debt, tell the SL gov't, and those massive interest payments they charge over risks.

The reason Sri Lanka must pay massive percentages or surcharges as interest on loans is because the courts suck, so they're pissed off, and trying to economically colonize the place, to dictate stuff, as they can't handle sovereignty.

Because with sovereignty, or independence, comes great independence and when they f*** up the legal stuff with over 1.2m cases, it's a disaster, where the US gov't forces firms not to step foot in SL, as it's a disaster waiting to happen in 60 seconds.

The legal mess SL is in, is perhaps the only one reason for SL's failed status; and why the 20m people here are forced to pay extreme interest costs for loans. I worry they might ███████████████of the judges, finding them guilty ██████████ for denying justice, and unlike Gota, or Ranil, or Myna, they might ███████████████.

It's just a worry because I get great intelligence reports, and stuff, but I saw when I visited the SL courts, some of those judges are extremely honest, and what they need is some leadership by the private sector to help out.

Which is what I am eager to do.

I don't have to be, and Sajith and Ranil or Ranjan Ramanayake or Namal Rajapaksa and Dhammika Perera, do not have to be "President" or PM, just to help the people of SL with technology.

These are a great, decent people, who will help out, with a smile, putting service, not a payment, first, for the most part.

We can offer up solutions, as long as they are happy to put it in place, without any third worldly behavior patterns.

While I don't have to be the Dictator, that'll likely happen because Trump's a serious character, the CIA is active, and SL hasn't got a choice, when they owe too much money, for their daily survival, and one call on a loan is all it'll take.

I will help Anura, Chamath, anyone.

I have fears about the Custom AI we make for people..

Because it's programmed, to do stuff the user requests.

We're afraid it can be weaponized.

So we don't sell those products to everyone.

We make a Small Language Model, which is a compact version of a LLM, which we shape like the user's digital avatar.

https://angrypages.com/pages/ai/

It's a very cool piece of advanced, frontier technology.

And I'm afraid it can be misused, as it'll never say "no".

We stopped or slowed down those experimental projects, but it's available to a few select people we want to help.

It's only sold in the US market, in CA, to people we have vetted.

We won't support or supply details to people we don't know about it.
