I just got a call from Uwin. He's gotten the 3rd jab, booster shot. He's in the UK, it's Winter.
He's investing in Bitcoin. I argued with my university international finance professor David*, I think, about how I feel Bitcoin is a fiat currency instead of a hard commodity currency. He showed me that it is mined, and so, it is commodity backed, although, I pointed out, that it's a virtual mining operation, not digging for gold in ore, and while the rest of the sheep bleeted, I just decided against it.
I advised, Uwin, not to bet at all. This is because if you don't know if something is going up or down for sure, it is gambling. My family never gamble. Jagath uncle never visits his betting shops, when Jagath visits Sporting Star, the people don't even recognize him because they don't know what he looks like or who he is at all. Even Steve Wynn, he tells people that he doesn't know and hasn't heard of anyone who's won at his casino, because it's not possible.
If you go to a casino, statistics, probability, is that you will lose, the longer you stay, the worse. I think those casino games, they are 1% chance of winning. This obviously means you will lose. It's crazy. Warren Buffet, Ray Dalio, I think even Chamath Palihapitiya who isn't a successful investor in comparison, they do not feel comfortable with Bitcoin, it's very scary because there's no authority on it.
All the criminals, they ask for Bitcoin. When ███████ lost credit card support from Mastercard and Visa, they switched to Bitcoin for membership subscription fees. All the ransomware demands are in Bitcoin because they can't trace who the owner is.
Looking at the trends, it used to be from 2015, $300 bucks, it has climbed, so it is a safe investment. So, I told him to go for it if he wants to, as the price has gone up. He advised me that best to bet what you don't mind losing. So, he's on the right track.
I never bet on anything, I never bet on anyone.
I only sign deals when there's a lot of profit for me, and unless the margins are good, I don't bother signing it, Jit Warnakulasuriya tries giving me his penetration testing projects, I threw it in the bin because it's too small for me -- I'm a size king.
